UPDATE: MEETINGS

•July 28, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Our professional organization has been formally meeting since March, 2009. We have morphed into a great network of colleagues spanning the whole spectrum of event providers. Currently, we meet in central Jerusalem on a monthly basis and have very informative guest speakers. We are meeting several of the goals we’ve set for ourselves and actively working on others.

We are taking a break in August and robustly picking up in September with a phenomenal motivational speaker, author and teacher Penina Taylor. She will be speaking on “The Art of Influence and The Science of Compliance” – how to get potential clients to choose you!

Unfortunately for us (and her), Penina had contracted the flu and was unable to speak to us in July. Glad to report she is fully recovered and that she is available in September. Please earmark your calendars, tentatively scheduled for Monday, September8, 2009. You don’t want to miss this opportunity!

More details coming as we approach the date.

Next on the drawing board is our multi-panel workshop on “Planning Your Unique Event”, featuring some of our own professional members and open to anyone who is planning an event in Israel.

Come back for more info as it develops.

If you would like more info about our organization or would like to join, please leave your question and contact info in the comment section of this post.

May all your days be full of Simcha (joy),

Miryam

Members Review of Our First Meeting

•March 21, 2009 • Leave a Comment

“There was a wonderful energy in the group with people of different and similar occupations that came in the spirit of working together rather than competing against each other.

I believe that it takes television producers millions of dollars and huge advertising budgets to create “reality” shows in order to achieve this.

There was a feeling of fresh optimism and enthusiasm in the room and it will be even more interesting to attend the second meeting, both to see new friends and to watch and participate as this group develops.

Kol Hakavod to Miryam (and her husband Shaya).”

“The meetup was such a success, thank you again for getting this going. I would really love to help out with the logistics of these meetings. Eli and I feel like it’s an incredible group, and in order to make sure it stays successful, we need to keep the meeting productive and informative. Let me know when would be a good time to speak (after the Seder), so that we can work on the details for the next meeting. Also, I’m going to check out a few restaurants in town to see what reserving a party room costs. I think it would be great if everyone could work on finding one professional to join between now and April 20th. The more people we are, the more influence we will have. We’re getting our new site up next week (G-d willing), so we’ll keep you posted with that.

Thanks SO much again, and have a great Shabbos!

AIWP Membership Benefits

If you are an event service provider in Israel, you understand  how your colleagues are competing for the same clients. The economy here is really fragile. What choices do the potential clients have when faced between food on the table, paying rent and bills or splurging on a wedding or other simcha ? They go to gemachim, they seek hachnassat kallah services, they ask you for discounts or favors.

We all face the same problems. Our clients’ problems are our problems. When they don’t purchase your services, you have no parnassah!

So why should you join a professional membership organization?

  • Your business name and phone number printed in the AIWP brochures
  • Your business is listed on the AIWP website (under construction)
  • Increased visibility from all AIWP placed advertisements and co-op advertising
  • AIWP Logos to use in your own advertising
  • Membership Certificate
  • Participate in an AIWP Showcase/ Annual Bridal & Events Expo
  • Networking at all functions and meetings
  • Discounted prices for all function activities
  • Increase your skills and knowledge base
  • Learn marketing trends and analysis
  • Build a portfolio of member resources for referrals
  • Increase public awareness of your professionalism
  • Gain credibility and prestige by being a certified member

If  you have never been part of a professional organization, you are in for a wonderful experience! The AIWP acts as conduit for leads for your business. Increasing flow to your niche and increasing your parnassah.

Our first few meetings are focused on building and shaping the organization to meet the needs of the membership.

Your input is very important to provide the services you want and need. We will be forming a membership committee as well as a board pro-tem. Come and be a part of this great venture. Contact me for any other info.

First Meeting is Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 11am sharp in the offices of PresenTense, 67 Emek Refaim, Jerusalem. There will be a 30 sheqel fee to cover the room rental and refreshments. Hope to see you there!. In the meantime, Chag Samayach Purim!

The first meeting of our professional organization will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.

Time is 11 am sharp (great time for brunch) and will be held in the conference room of PresenTense. 64 Emek Refaim, 2nd floor in Jerusalem. If you are coming by bus, the 18 or 21 will get you there.

If you plan on coming, just drop me a note at:  aiwp@tovmaod.com. There is a 30 shekel charge payable at the door to cover the costs of room rental and refreshments.

For anyone who would really like to work with someone whom they can truly trust to execute his/her wishes, they would not be wrong to work with Miryam.”
